Los Angeles, United States
Our Expert Motorcycle Guides will lead you on a whirlwind but a tranquil tour of the most spectacular mountains in all of Southern California!
If we were to use two words to describe this tour, it would mostly be "Country" and "Western"; two perfect words that best describe this epic ride.
The view of the San Gabriel Mountain range is magnificent. On a clear winter or spring day, we can see Downtown L.A. all the way to the sea. A major forest fire (aka the Station Fire) burnt a large part of the mountain range and burnt trees can still be seen. The natural habitat is home to bears and deer, so watch out as a close encounter is always possible.
The San Gabriel Mountain Range is one of the best pieces of slab in all SoCal, if not the best: wide, pretty clean ( Caltrans is more often than not moving sand & stones out of the way), long stretched and sweepers, a few hairpin turns (but no biggy), this is a fast road for the fastest riders and a charming road for those who’d rather cruise - like us!
As we ride along, we will reach Wrightwood. Wrightwood is the typical San Gabriel Mountain snow resort type of community, very laid back, with a nice restaurant, and terrace overlooking the mountains and the flow of bikers coming in and out of town to rest or refuel before going back. A very place to stop - indeed!
From Wrightwood, we ride back through the high Plateau of Palmdale, a city in the middle of the Mojave Desert. The small back roads we take, guarantee a nice and peaceful ride back to the mountains via the Angeles National Forest Road. This is one of the most outdoor oriented rides you can take in California.
This ride is a rite of passage and favorite route of Angelino Bikers who never miss a weekend to take advantage of the great outdoors surrounding Los Angeles. Come join us to discover the great outdoors of California, take part in an unbelievable motorcycle ride, and be a bit adventurous as we ride and wind our way amongst the California mountains!
