Lima, Peru
Our Expert Guides will take you on an entertaining journey through the history of Lima.
We'll begin by riding our bikes to Plaza Mayor where we'll witness the changing of the guard, an ancient tradition that takes place regularly outside the palace. This tour will teach you how to spend a proper Limeño Sunday: relaxing on park benches, while people watching and admiring our beautiful surroundings.
We will visit the Government Palace (official residence and office of Peru's president), the Cathedral of Lima, and the Peruvian Literature House. The latter presents a new concept of culture and tradition, transforming an old railway station into a space for discussion and analysis.
We'll discover some of the city's most iconic buildings such as the Municipal Palace, convents of San Francisco and Santo Domingo, former post office, law palace, the Lima Art Museum, and the Italian Art Museum, among others. We will tour mansions with a variety of different styles and, before finishing up, we'll stop so you can enjoy a "butifarra", a traditional sandwich, in the heart of the historical center.
Join us for a fascinating journey, discovering the history of this diverse city!
