Our Expert Chefs will guide you on an all-inclusive week-long culinary journey where you'll learn to prepare delicious traditional Yucatecan dishes from our staff at Los Dos, while delving deep into the local culture. This workshop is an ideal way for you to leisurely get to know Mérida and the surrounding area while immersing yourself in Yucatán's rich history and culinary heritage.
During your week-long stay, you'll participate in multiple master classes, including an overview of Yucatecan cuisine, a market tour, and cooking instruction. We'll prepare various local dishes while exploring the exotic aromas and flavors of this unique fare. After sampling our creations and learning about their history, you'll gain a better understanding of their cultural significance in modern day life.
We'll also have the chance to get out of the kitchen and explore the Mayan heartland. You will get to know the urban regional capital of Mérida, marvel at ancient Mayan archaeological sites, visit haciendas, and explore quaint jungle pueblos where you'll meet local Maya families who will teach you their traditions, giving you a peak into their daily life.
