On this Kayaking and Snorkel Adventure you will paddle around Venados (Deer) and/or Pájaros (Bird) Island, some of the best preserved islands in Mazatlán Bay. You will explore its coastline while enjoying a journey through its natural and geological history interpreted by our team of naturalist guides.
During our trip you will visit the best beaches for swimming and the best reef locations for snorkeling. When you go snorkeling you will have the chance to see some of Mexico's most colorful fish, and you will surely be in awe and this amazing underwater world!
We will also visit Venados, Lobos and Pájaros islands - Mazatlán´s most important natural icons. This small archipelago is part of the protected nature reserve Islands of the Gulf of California, and represents a major ecological reserve for the region´s marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
These islands are home to several species of resident and migratory birds like brown booby birds, pelicans, reptiles, and endemic plants. A myriad of tropical colorful fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and other invertebrates inhabit the rocky reefs along their coastline. It's this local marine ecosystems that sustains most artisan fisheries and the livelihood of many local fisherman and families.
